Parse DateTime block
Purpose
Converts a DateTime object to a text representation in a custom format.
The opposite of the 'Create DateTime' block.
Input
-
Input
Takes a DateTime object. -
Output format
Define how the DateTime object is presented as text.
Use tokens for custom format (see table below) or 'ISO' for a standard format. Tokens can be combined with'
as an escape character. Use before and after the part that shouldn't be interpreted as tokens.
Output
- Value
A text representation of the DateTime object.
Example
I want to display the current time in a human-readable form. The current time is provided by the 'create DateTime' block. I'm using H
and m
as tokens, while the text in between the 'ticks' is kept as text.
graph LR A(Create DateTime) --Input--> I(Parse DateTime) B(['The time is:'H'h 'm'm']) --Output Format--> I I --Value--> C(['The time is: 15h 31m'])
(text parts are: 'The time is:' + 'h ' + 'm', while tokens are placed instead of the +.)
